What is a Currency Envelope?


A Currency Envelope is a small envelope that is diecut in the center made to show the paper money put inside of it. Also, known as Money Envelopes, are made primarily for paper money and not coins. There is usually an inner envelope that the money goes inside and it is usually decorated with the theme of the holiday or occasion. Then there is usually an outer envelope that the inner envelope fits inside. The largest share of Currency Envelopes are handed out around the Christmas or Hanukkah holidays and most are given to children by their grandparents.
