Political Campaign Printing

Yellow BorderAudio version for this article: "Political Campaign Printing" (for people with visual disabilities or impairments). Yellow Border
Political campaigns use several different types of printing to get their candidates messages across. Many times they use them to drive traffic to a web site to see the candidates positions. A successful political campaign is one that drives the candidates name in to the mind of the voter. Name recognition is the key to being elected. Many times the voter will not even know a candidates positions but will vote for him/her due to recognizing their name on the ballot. It needs to be a multi pronged attack of direct mail, door hangers, yard signs, bumper stickers, campaign buttons, and shirts and hats. One of the newest and most successful political campaign printing being used is variable data printing where the candidate can personalize the mail for each recipient. The response is documented to go up as much as 500% due to this one to one marketing. Politics is a very personal business and if you can make a voter feel you are talking directly to him/her you have a much better chance of winning their vote. The variable data printing by no means replaces the doorhangers or direct mail but enhances the ability of the campaign to land fringe voters. It also will become increasingly more important to use an eco-friendly printing company. You can use recycled paper and find a printer that buys carbon credits to offset the production so your printed product can be carbon neutral.

Christmas Currency Envelopes

The last few years of selling Holiday Currency Envelopes has brought back the use of the words Christmas Currency Envelopes. We had gone to calling them Holiday Currency Envelopes to try and not offend those of our customers of other religions besides Christians. The movement back to having customers request for Christmas Currency Envelopes has been overwhelming in the last couple of years. We try and give organizations choices to choose from so that they can accomodate their customers.

Currency Envelopes-A Lesson in Money

While many people look at a Currency Envelope with money inside it as a lazy way to give a gift it actually is a good lesson for a child on spending or saving money. My grandparents always gave us Money Envelopes with the offer that they would match whatever amount I chose to put in my Savings account. This was a lesson that has paid dividends long after they have left this Earth. So instead of thinking of it as you not having the time to shop, the concept can be looked at as giving a gift with dividends that pay long past your lifetime.

How much money to put in a Currency Envelope?

When I was growing up and my Grandparents gave me gifts around my Birthday or Holidays it became common for them to just give me a Currency Envelope with money in it. It started with a dollar when I was younger and grew to $10 by the time I was in my teens. This was in the 70's. Nowadays, I think the dollar amount is what you feel comfortable with. The rule of thumb, I tell people to use is what would you spend on a gift is what you should put in the Currency Envelope . If that is $5 for a young child that is fine. Remember, that part of what you are doing is teaching that child the value of money and the choices we all make. Some look at it as a lazy way to give a child a gift. I look at Money Envelopes as an opportunity to teach a skill that all of us need to make choices in how we spend our money.

Promotional products are still one of the most beneficial and cost effective ways to market your business. However, most companies do not use promotional products to their full potential. Promotional products market services, promote new products and events, provide employee incentives, and improve employee safety and compliance.

Businesses waste millions of dollars a year on T.V or radio advertising that reach less than half of viewers during a specific time slot. Advertisers have no guarantee that any of those viewers will be potential customers. But, businesses can send a useful industry related
promotional product to customers for under $10. Exposure is one of the key elements of effective adverting; When you realize that the potential customer might look at that pen , watch , etc. imprinted with your logo 20 to 30 times a day, or a printed baseball hat may be worn every weekend for years exposing your company to the wearer, as well as every other person she sees while wearing it. Now that's cost-effective!

Here are some survey statistics that Conselor magazine calculated for major corporations such as AT&T and FedEX. They asked these marketing professionals about the value of promotional products, and how, when and why they use them. You might be surprised by how important promotional products are for marketing and employee relations. It is particularly significant to note that it was almost unanimous among those companies surveyed that using a reliable advertising agency or promotional product distributor who offers creative product suggestions and solutions was an essential requirement for effective marketing with promotional products.

•55% of corporate buyers purchase promotional products at least 5 times per year
•95% said promotional products improve their company's image with customers and the community
•83% conclude promotional products have increased their sales
•94% agree that promotional products increased the effectiveness of direct mail campaigns
•84.2% purchase promotional products and logoed merchandise to launch new products or promotions
•57.9% use promotional products to improve employee relations
•90% of buyers said they purchase promotional products through an Advertising Agency or promotional products distributor
•When asked what top 3 qualities they look for in a promotional product distributor, buys ranked Reliability, Creativity and On-time Delivery
The statistics don’t lie. Let the Odee Company help boost your company’s sales and exposure today!
